Restylane is a crystal-clear gel used to plump or enhance the lips, and for facial
wrinkles and facial folds. Restylane consists of hyaluronic acid which is similar
to that naturally found in the body. Restylane is injected into the dermis and provides
volume where the concentration of the body's own hyaluronic acid has decreased.
One treatment session takes about 20 minutes. Results can last anywhere from 4-6
months. Restylane is safe to use without pre-testing.
Radiesse, formerly
known as Radiance, consists of calcium hydroxylapatite, which
is a normal constituent of human bone and teeth. It corrects dynamic lines of facial
expression and scars. It is used to plump the lips. Whereas most other available
products such as Collagen or Restylane last from 3 to 6 months, Radiance has the
potential to last for 1 to 5 years. Allergy pretesting is not required. |
